Overview Of the Handgun Safe

The Handgun Safe is a Revolutionary Concept in Safe Technology. In early 1990 a couple of thousand man hours was invested in the design, material selection, manufacturing techniques and testing of the World's first and only Relocatable, High Security, Light-Weight Handgun Safe manufactured from GE Lexan.

Lexan, a General Electric Trademarked Impact Modified Polycarbonate known world-wide for its great strength, extreme high impact resistance and heat resistant properties.

A resilient memory material which makes the Handgun Safe prise-proof, even assuming that a thief finds it in the first place.

Lexan is Incredibly Light-Weight, but as Tough as Steel and is

The Handgun Safe Comes In Four Parts

1 - Docking Station

Docking Station is easily installed to almost any flat surface and at any angle, even upside down, using screws, bolts or ACRYLIC (water based) glue into which the Safe Box slides in and locks with the supplied High Security Abloy PROTEC Lock and Key. Once locked the Handgun Safe conceals all fastenings used eg. screws or bolts.

2 - Safe Box

The lid on the Handgun Safe locks with the supplied High Security Abloy PROTEC Lock and Key. This allows the Handgun Safe to be taken from one location to another without the contents being exposed eg. slide the Handgun Safe out of one Docking Station then lock the lid. Then take the Handgun Safe to another previously installed Docking Station and slide it in and lock it with the supplied High Security Abloy PROTEC Key.

Wherever a Docking Station has been installed,
a Handgun Safe can be slid in and locked with the supplied Abloy PROTEC Key.

3 - Customised Heavy Duty Cam

Customized heavy duty Cam secures the mk2 Safe Box Lid to the Docking Station.

Fitted to the back of the Abloy PROTEC Lock, inside the Handgun Safe, is a customised heavy duty cam. When the Handgun Safe lid is closed and the High Security Abloy PROTECT Key is turned 180 degrees the cam secures the lid to the Handgun Safe through a specially designed slot in the lid.

4 - Abloy Lock

Abloy PROTEC (Ultra) High Security Lock, includes a customised heavy duty cam and two super strong Nickel Silver Abloy PROTEC keys. It has a possible 1.97 billion different key combinations, it cannot be drilled and is mechanically impossible to pick.

It is the World’s First unpickable Lock. Used for keyed alike and individually keyed safes or is an exceptional (cost effective) Master Key System, including Master, Grand Master and Grand Grand Master Keys.

Safe Box weighs approximately 1kg (2.2 pounds) empty. Even though it is Incredibly Light-Weight, it is as Tough as Steel and Virtually Indestructible.

How To Secure The Safe Box To The Docking Station

mk2 Hide Away Safe being slid into its Docking Station.

Slide the Handgun Safe part way into the Docking Station and turn the High Security Abloy PROTEC Key 180 degrees to remove the cam from the Handgun Safe lid then, push the Handgun Safe all the way into the Docking Station and turn the High Security Abloy PROTEC Key 180 degrees in the opposite direction to lock the Handgun Safe lid.

By turning the High Security Abloy PROTEC Key the cam goes through the Handgun Safe and the slot in the Docking Station thus securing the Handgun Safe to the Docking Station.

This conceals the fasteners used to install the Docking Station making them inaccessible.

The Handgun Safe Can Be Secured In Vehicles

mk2 Hide Away Safe locked in a Steel Vehicle Fixing Kit fitted in the rear of a Jackaroo 4WD.

The Handgun Safe is the only Lexan Safe in the World that can be secured in most vehicles by initially installing a specially designed Vehicle Fixing Kit in the Vehicle.

Once installed a Docking Station is bolted to the Vehicle Fixing Kit then the Handgun Safe is slid in and locked with the supplied High Security Abloy PROTEC Key. Once locked the Handgun Safe is virtually theft proof.

Shroud and Cable - Temporally Security

mk2 Hide Away Safe being slid into the Shroud and Cable.

Some vehicles cannot have a Vehicle Fixing Kit installed in them for various reasons (a hired Car). To over come this we have another High Security Solution that requires no permanent installation to a Vehicle or other temporary locations (such as a motel room) and the Handgun Safe is as secure as in an installed Vehicle Fixing Kit called a Shroud and Cable.

Once a Docking Station has been bolted to the Shroud and Cable the Handgun Safe can be slid in and locked with the supplied High Security Abloy PROTEC Key. Detailed information about the Shroud and Cable...
