The Steel Shroud is manufactured from a Steel Billet using the latest CNC machining technology. To protect the Steel Shroud from climatic conditions it is Zinc plated with a gold passovated finish.

There is no point making a security device, the Steel Shroud, that protects a Padlock and its Shackle from the three common methods that 99.9% of all thieves use to break apart a Padlock and then include Mild Steel Chain that can be cut with a Bolt Cutter.
Therefore we include with each Steel Shroud 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain that cannot be cut with a standard Bolt Cutter, Hack Saw or any other non powered hand-held metal cutting tool. We call this security device Padlock Protection. |

Most people use Mild Steel Chain with their Padlock to secure a gate or other valuable possessions eg. a Wheel on a Trailer, Motorbike, Caravan, Jet Ski or anything else that requires a Padlock and Chain to protect it. During the design stage of the Steel Shroud we decided there was no point designing a product that makes a Padlock impenetrable to the three common methods thieves / vandals use to break a Padlock and then include a piece of Mild Steel Chain that can be easily cut with a Bolt Cutter.
