Motorcycle secured in an under ground car park, the 10mm diameter bolt cutter proof chain is placed through the front wheel, wrapped around a concrete column then locked with Motorcycle Security Lock.

note

There is no need to wrap the motorbike security chain around a concrete column, its just how this guy decided to secure his motorbike while at work in his work place under ground car park.

We designed Motorcycle Security Lock in 2003 to include 10mm diameter bolt cutter proof chain.

how does it work

Place the chain through the back or front wheel, insert the chain in each side of the patented steel shroud then lock it with the customised padlock. This stops a thief pushing the motorbike away.

During the design stage we tested various lengths of chain needed to secure a motorcycle through the back or front wheel, we settled on 500mm.

Since our first sale in 2003 most of our sales until today September 10, 2024 include the same 500mm length of chain.

We cannot find the exact date when a motorbike included a steering lock but we all know they can be broken in less than 60 seconds. They are just a deterrent when your motorbike is parked in a public area.

The same applies to a disc lock, it can be quickly disabled.

Motorcycle Security Lock consists of three components

• patented steel shroud manufactured from a steel billet using state of the art CNC machining technology
• customised padlock fits inside Motorcycle Security Lock patented steel shroud, the padlocks shackle has to be completely removable from the body, as you can see in the pictures below, allowing the shackle to be placed through the top of the steel shroud
• Motorcycle Security Lock includes bolt cutter proof 10mm diameter bolt cutter proof chain cannot be cut with a bolt cutter no matter how long the bolt cutter is

10 year Australian manufacturer warranty

Before we sold the first Motorcycle Security Lock in March 2004 we, the Australian manufacturer, gave a lot of thought to how long should we guarantee each.

We knew for a fact this Australian made locking system will last a life time eg. 25, 50 or 75 years maybe longer due to the superior materials used to manufacture them plus no welded parts, no bolts or screws used but we also knew we had to be realistic.
